Buying Tickets

Hi there, I'm traveling to Spain on Sunday, September 14th, visiting Barcelona, Andalucia, and Gibralta. My question, is it preferred to buy tickets for Montserrat in advance, also to Alhambra, Alcazer de los Reyes, Mezquita, and seville cathedral? If it yes, what are the official reliable webdites to buy? Thank you.

Definitely the Alhambra and you probably should have purchased them a couple months ago as it sells out.

Others will have differing opinions on the other sites. I’ve never purchased advance tickets for the other sites, but if you know the dates you’ll be visiting, it wouldn’t hurt to buy in advance for them too.

Hi,

The Alhambra tickets are almost completely sold out for these days, but depeding on the date you might get lucky and still find some. I would recommend you to get them ASAP.

The official website of the Alhambra is:

https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/

I work as official guide there, so if you need more information, feel free to send me a private message.

Have fun in Andalucia!

Thank you so much for the advice. Thank you Juan for sending me the web. I was able to book for 2 persons and im lucky to find them exactly the date that works for us, since there were few days left to buy the tickets. I really appreciated. Im wondering if the other attractions that I mentioned previously also need to buy tickets in advance. Thank you.

Check their official websites for availability. Buy in advance or not is a choice only you can make. The only downside to buying in advance is tickets are generally non-refundable.

It appears the Alcázar in Córdoba is temporarily closed so you may not get to visit it. Its website states only the gardens will be open until 12 September. It doesn’t say anything about after that date.

Check the dates for the Seville Cathedral as well. They were sold out for the dates we were in Seville in May 2024 and they weren’t allowing walk-ups.

Parc Guell, Casa Mila, Casa Battlo and the Picasso Museum in Barcelona are extremely popular. Some time blocks (maybe even complete days) could sell out in advance, making it difficult to create a workable sightseeing plan. If you want to see any of those places, you should check their websites immediately to see what the ticket situation looks like

Thank you all for the information. I bought tickets for casa Mila too. Not sure if want to do park Gull, as I heard it is too crowded and have to line up early morning. We will do Sagrada Familia for sure. For Seville Cathedral, not sure if it is worth to visit, I need to do more search what are the top attraction there.
