we are seriously looking to buy a property in a gated community in the 300,000 (US) range and will be in Spain late spring 2018
no financing needed. anyone that has had or is currently living there would be greatly appreciated. need at least three bedrooms all en-suite ++

1.) Costa Brava is a region, you need to focus your research
2.) There are no gated communities here
3.) 300,000$ = 250,000€ won't buy you much in the range you're describing.
These are some of the most popular real estate portals here in Catalonia, check them out so you have an idea on price range and availability: habitaclia. idealista, tucasa, pisos.com, fotocasa, globaliza, yaencontre
- Some portals organise their ddbb by provinces: Costa Brava is in the province of Girona.
- Search by m2 (sq.m), not by number of rooms as their average size in our flats/houses is smaller than those you're probably used to.
- When you find something that fits your bill, make sure you understand where it's located (public transportation availability, in town vs outskirts, etc.)
In any case, I doubt this post will stay on for long... this is a travel forum aimed to travellers.
