we are arriving in Madrid spain on 5/24/2016. we are wanting to travel to pedrafita do cebreiro on 5/25. I have tried several times to buy bus tickets online thru rome2rio and the alsa website. I have been able to get all info entered, but when I try to pay it says "transaction denied". I contacted my credit card co. and they said it's not them. is there another website where I can purchase the tickets? I have already bought train tickets for part of our trip, but can't get the bus tickets.

Paypal. Set up a paypal account tied to whatever credit card you want and use that. I had this exact issue with the ALSA website, I am not sure what the problem is but US cards don't seem to go through.

If you can use Paypal. Otherwise, just buy your bus tickets at the station. Buses don't really sell out unless it some kind of big holiday weekend.

These online credit card problems are generally due to an extra layer of security that many US cards don't have, whether it's a chip-and-pin system or enrollment in the Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode programs. I have always bought my bus tickets in person.

Unless there is a substantial discount for purchasing on-line, why bother? Easier to buy at the station when needed.
