Buying and picking up Alhambra tickets

Hi I am very confused about this. There is a lot of mixed information about how and where to pick up advanced purchased tickets. In Ricks latest book he gives information but then I saw conflicting info elsewhere on line. Even the Alhambra website is confusing. Is ticket master the best or only place to purchase them? The other big question is picking them up. I am certain that at the main entrance to the Alhambra it will be easy but Im trying to avoid that crowd. I heard the book store can print them and also the ServiCaixa machines. But again I read that you can't do it unless you used a Spanish issued credit card?? If anyone actually knows the answers to this small mystery I would be so grateful to hearing from you

Steve,

Yes, Ticketmaster is the best place to book your Alhambra tickets, unless you want to book a tour and pay more.

You may want to read this recent post where I wrote about where you can pick up your Alhambra tickets.

You can pay with your own credit card ( no need for a "Spanish issued card"), just make sure you bring that same card on your trip as you will need it to retrieve your tickets.

Enjoy your trip!

Edit to add...

I heard the book store can print them and also the ServiCaixa machines.

Please note... The bookstore is presently closed due to construction work, but you may print your tickets at certain Caixa Bank ATMs.

Thank you for clearing that up. I had a feeling that that was the case but if you look around online you get some many different results. I will go with your suggestions THANKS

Yes, you can use the machines.

Also, instead of the bookstore on plaza Nueva you can use the office insude Corral de Carbon - not far from there. This office - straight in front of you across the courtyard from entering - has special machines inside for the express purpose of printing tickets. It's a good back up plan in case the caixa machines give you trouble for some reason.
