A friend reminded me of a wonderful way to see the "off-tourist-guide" sights -- take a bus to its terminal, and then return. He gave me route 19 in Rome which he says, takes you through the typical parts of Rome not in the guidebooks. Does anyone have any "secret bus routes" for Madrid?
