Burgos Help

Hello!
I will be traveling solo to Burgos from Madrid arriving at 1AM. My hotel is 8 mins away from the bus station in Burgos, I'm just wondering if there are any cabs available outside the bus station at that time or if it's safe for a woman to be walking alone at 1am.
Thanks guys!

I've not been outdoors in Burgos late at night, but Spain operates on a very late schedule. Locals don't head out for dinner until 9:30 or 10 PM at the earliest and will be heading home after midnight in many cases. There will probably be a lot of people out and about when you arrive.

If we have someone on the forum more familiar with Burgos, it will help if you tell us where you're staying.

Have been in Burgos a few times while walking the Camino. People are out and about, walking home from the pubs until about 04:00 or so. You won't be walking on lonely, empty streets. It is also very well lit.

Just for information purposes, the area by the central bus station and across to the Santa María arch and Plaza Mayor is pretty flat, so an easy walk. If you hotel is on the backside of the cathedral, then there are hills.

I stayed at Burgos as a solo female. I did not venture out that late, but I think you can ask your hotel to see what they say.
