Has anyone used this service? Would it be faster than the bus? We are wanting to day trip to Gibraltar and back to Seville.
It's a car share service so you might find it difficult to find a ride at the times you want. It just matches people driving with people looking for rides.
You can do full day guided tours to Gibraltar from Seville. We were in Seville last week and did a day tour to the white villages with a company called Naturanda. I see that they offer day trips to Gibraltar on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The normal coastal buses from Malaga or the long distance coaches from Seville will only take you to the border at La Linea. You then walk across the border, with buses running from the Gibraltar side of the frontier into the centre- see here- https://www.citibus.gi/routes.
Within Gibraltar local services are run by the Gibraltar Bus Company- http://www.gibraltarbuscompany.gi/
To go straight through without the cross frontier walk and maximise your time there you need to be on a tour.
In some countries BlaBlacar do run coaches as well as do car share. I don't know if Spain is one of those.
There are obvious security and driving risks from using ride share, to be balanced against the cost savings of a tour.
thank you.
