We are driving from Bilbao to Toulouse Mon Aug 16 We have 1 night in between that we haven't planned. We are looking for a spot somewhere in between, either in France or Spain to spend 1 night, somewhere in the Pyranees would be nice but open to other suggestions. Thank you.

One place you will be close to that has received my attention, but no visit as yet, is the Cirque de Gavarnie.

Thank you David, Gavarnie looks amazing, but maybe a little too out of the way for one night. But will have to keep in mind for a future visit when we have a little more time. Thanks

If you wish to cross through the Pyrenees then the winter ski station at Candanchu may be a good mid way point.
Bilbao - Pamplona - Jaca - Candanchu
Candanchu - Pau - Lourdes (?) - Toulouse
