Bilbao to Granada by plane

Hola todos,
I need some advice. Two questions:

On Sept. 20 or 21 we will be flying from Venice to Barcelona. There are two airports in Venice. Does anyone have knowledge of both and would you recommend one over the other. We will arrive in Barcelona very late. I suppose a taxi to wherever we are staying is the best best????

On Sept. 28, We plan to fly from Bilbao to Granada (to save time--later we will take the Ave from Sevilla to Madrid) Anyway, from when I first started looking into this, the airline flights have definitely gone up. So I want to get on this. Wondering if any of you have flown out of Bilbao? Is it easy or difficult to get to the airport. I have a choice of a flight that leaves at 8:05, 8:20, or 9:30am. The price difference between the three is about 30 dollars.

But the main question is the airlines. I will have to switch planes from Iberia to Air Nostrum in Madrid on one flight. The other is vueling. I was thinking of flying vueling just because I don't have to change planes but it leaves at 8:05 and I am worried about getting to the airport in time . Thoughts?? Opinions??

Venice Marco Polo Airport is the one closest to the city. Treviso airport is further away, with the fastest bus by www.barziservice.com, but it also works.

In Barcelona, the Aerobus runs until midnight and serves areas with lots of hotels, including Placa de Catalunya and Placa d'Espanya. If staying near the bus route, I'd feel comfortable taking the bus as late as it runs, and have taken it quite late in the past. Taxi might cost €35.

I drove to Bilbao airport and found it small and easy to navigate upon arrival. Bizkaibus #3247 takes about 20 minutes to or from the city center and starts at 6:00 a.m., or taxi is pretty affordable at €25, both according to Rick's Spain guidebook.

You can see more details on city-airport connections in the guidebooks, as well as on the web site of each airport.

Laura is correct about there being two Venice airports, but she failed to mention that there are also two Barcelona airports, only one of which is truly convenient to the city. The primary Barcelona airport is El Prat, and the information Laura provided relates to it.
Some airlines (Ryan?) refer to the other airport as Barcelona also, even though it is actually located some 90 kilometers north of the city, near Girona. Travel time from the Girona airport into Barcelona takes 75 minutes under ideal conditions, but may very well stretch out to 90 minutes to two hours if traffic becomes a factor.
