My wife and I are going to bike for just 2-3 days in Camino de Santiago. With this limited time, what would be the best place to start and end?

I have received wonderful travel advice at this site for my past European cycling adventures, but not very much advice about the cycling itself. I am strictly a road biker and the Camino is much more a a mountain bike ride, although I do understand there are road options. All that aside, you really don't give enough information for anyone to be helpful. Are you just taking a 2-3 day vacation to do this (probably not)? The how do you see this fitting the rest of your itinerary? A logical start point may be determined by where you already are. Do you need to outfit yourself or will you have your own bicycle? Bike tours a very common along the route but I'm not sure how much point to point rental is available. What is an average daily ride for you? Covering 100 KM per day is a good deal different than covering 100 KM across the 3 days. What is the plan for your luggage while riding and how will it follow you? If you can give as much info as possible about what your overall plan is you stand a better chance of getting a helpful response. I try to take bikes rides whenever I travel. The hardest ones to work out logistically are longer than a day but less than week.
