Will be in Barcelona in November. Would like to do a bike "tour". Thinking a city tour via bikes. Would love suggestions for companies or should we rent and do on our own. Also what time of day would be best. We arrive at 5:00 PM on 18/11/17 and thought we would just walk around. Then Sunday 19/11/17 do La Sagrada Familla in the am. Would it be a good time to do bike tour in the afternoon. We also have 3 more days which I would like to go to Montserrat via the cable car. Park Guell, Casa Mila or Casa Batllo. Want to wonder and explore the night life. Montjuic fountains, however I am not sure if they are in operation that time of the year. I have been trying to research that and am having a hard time. Thanks for any input. Would love your suggestions. Now that it is getting closer I am trying to firm of sights for each day with time frames so to allow us to enjoy the city food, people and culture with out complete exhaustion.
Many thanks.
I wanted to do a bike tour (never got the chance) and just Googled it or looked on TA. I believe Fat Tire bikes offers them in Barcelona. I would do one on your first day so you get the lay of the land (19th) and do La Sagrada Familia the following day.
We used Fat Tire Bikes, and of all the cities they offer, my wife and I found this one to be the weakest. We were a fairly large group, maybe 15 in total, and we kept getting separated. The tour itself was worthwhile, and we did it the morning of our first full day to get an orientation of the city. Having said all that, it was the most memorable bike ride I've ever taken. Our group consisted of 5 girls from Ireland on college break. Them accents . . . . . I'd follow them anywhere.
