My husband and I are looking for the best way to get from barcelona to begur...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
AND should we rent a car in Begur?

There are Sarfa buses from Girona station to Begur and around, but if those schedules don't look convenient, then you may prefer to pick up a car at Girona. See also http://www.beguronline.com/reach.htm.
