We arrive at Santa Justa station and judging by the map it's quite a walk to our room in the Plaza Nueva area.
Normally I would just take a taxi, however it's Semana Santa and we arrive on Holy Thursday. There will be processions to block our way, I'm sure. I'm thinking if we could get to San Bernardo Station, we could take the above ground tram up to Plaza Nueva. But is there a bus from Santa Justa to San Bernardo?
Never been to Spain, but I kinda like 3 Dog Night.
Ray,
You're absolutely right in saying that it's a long way to walk from Santa Justa Train Station to Plaza Nueva!
I'd suggest taking a taxi. The taxi drivers know which streets will be blocked & how to get you as close to your destination as possible.
We arrived to Sevilla on October 12th last year, & there had been some processions that day, so some of the streets were still blocked, but our taxi driver drove us very close to our hotel.
There are buses that go all over the city, but it will be difficult for you, especially since you will be arriving with luggage in hand.
Enjoy your trip!
It depends, what time do you arrive to Seville?
We'll arrive around 4pm. I think we'll go with Priscilla's advice and my first thought, take a taxi.
Well, 12th october procession is a small one compare to semana santa which is a huge event with more than a million people on the streets of the old town.
Some parts of the centre near the cathedral and the town hall is full of stands and chairs like the ones on the picture:
