I’m so disappointed that Rick doesn’t cover Valencia. What’s the best travel book for that city?
I don't remember if I got a separate guide for it. I may have made some notes from a library guidebook. I often use Lonely Planet, but you would need to review the index or front guide to ensure Valencia is covered.
I think websites and a visit to the tourist bureau could cover most of your needs.
We stayed in Valencia for four nights in February and found enough information in the Lonely Planet guidebook and also online at Spain.info tourist website.
We spent 4 nights in Valencia. We just looked up "Things to Do" in TripAdvisor and used it as a guide and checklist. The old town from the train station to city hall to Central Market to the Cathedral to Turia Gardens and everything in between is very compact and easy to walk. You can rent bikes and ride down the Turia Gardens to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences. There was lots to do, eat and drink.
YouTube is the new guide book.

“Road trip to Spain and Portugal” are less charismatic, but sometimes more pragmatic.
