Take the #6, #34, or #33 bus to Passieg de Gracia, then take the #24 bus to Parc Guell. It should take you at least 45 minutes total.

When we were in Barcelona, we took the #24 bus on Passieg de Gracia, and I remember it took a long time to get to Parc Guell.

First to mention I don't know where Marty got that address... to my knowledge Cotton House Hotel is the former headquarters of the Association of Cotton Manufacturers, built in the 1800s, and located in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 670. Unless it has moved very recently -which I seriously doubt- it's not where the provided Google link indicates.

Anyhow, taking nbr 670 as the correct address...

At that hour, which is rush hour, it's best to avoid surface transportation... It’s not always packed, but you "might" encounter some congestion, especially when going up Gran de Gràcia Street.

Park Güell is located in one of the seven hills of Barcelona, if you feel fit enough to walk up Baixada de la Glòria street (google it up!), which is a bit steep, your best bet would be taking the metro L3 (green) in Passeig de Gràcia and getting off at Vallcarca. From there there's a 650-metre walk to one of the side entrances of Park Güell (bonus: this one is never crowded). The Passeig de Gràcia metro station is barely 300 metres from the Cotton House Hotel. The whole journey should take you around 45" minutes tops in all (10"+15"+20")

Alternatively, if you don't want to walk much, you can take the same metro to Lesseps station, then bus #24 to another of the side entrances at Carretera del Carmel.

Finally, if you want comfort, take a taxi... there are plenty in Barcelona and the journey should cost you around 15€ and take 30' to the destination -suggested same side entrance.

Enjoy!

Enric, you are absolutely right. I'll try to be a lot more careful in the future.

@Marty, you puzzled me at first :)).... Maybe someone inserted a wrong address in Google Maps posting as this hotel. The "openness" of certain tools, like Google Maps, is prone to abuses and anyone can put anything. Perhaps you were "duped" when you searched for it?

Enric, if I type "cotton house hotel, Barcelona Spain" into Google maps, it shows two listings. I picked the one at the top of the list without noticing the one right below it which was the correct one. Why Google Maps thinks there is a "cotton house hotel" on Ave Diagonal is a mystery to me. If you click on the street view, it's a different hotel.
