Best Transportation Option for Day Stop in Cordoba When Traveling from Granada to Sevilla

In September we will be traveling from Granada to Sevilla and would like to stop for a "day trip" in Cordoba en route. Looks like trains only run at 6:00AM and then in the afternoon from Granada to Sevilla. What would be the best mode of travel, in your opinion, for such a day trip?

What day of the week will you be making that trip? Schedules for September probably haven't been fully loaded yet. Check the correct day for next week. For tomorrow, I see departures at 6:35 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:10 AM, 1:15 PM, 3:33 PM and three later times.

ALSA runs buses from Granada to Cordoba, the first of which depart at 8:30 AM, 10 AM and 12 noon. The buses are very comfortable, but they are scheduled to take 2 hr. 45 min. By comparison, the trains generally take no more than 1 hr. 45 min.

There are luggage lockers at the bus station in Cordoba, very near the train station, but demand is high. If you don't arrive in Cordoba early, it is possible the lockers will be full, so research other luggage-storage options ahead of time so you have a back-up plan. Just Google luggage storage Cordoba.

Thank you so much. We will be traveling on a Wednesday so I will check Wednesday next week. And thanks also for the tip on the lockers!

One other thing about the lockers: I have no idea whether they take credit cards, coins or currency. It would be prudent to have a lot of 1- and 2-euro coins and some small notes, just in case.
