Ordering tickets in advance, thoughts on best day of week, or time of day, to visit this famous place? Gràcies, Ken
Since visits are time-based, it doesn't matter the time you choose, there'll be pretty much the same amount of people all day long. Having said this, some prefer the morning or early afternoon -in summer- for the lighting thru the stained glass.
Also, for info, the exterior façade is illuminated in Easter and during the festivities of Saint Eulàlia in February, and it's worth dropping by after dark.
We did this last time, and are booked again for next week.
We booked the first arrival time, got there about 30 min early so we could be in the front of the line to get in. When we got in we had about 15-20 minutes where there were hardly any people and it was magical!
Last trip we were able to book entry at 9, and towers at 10... the crowds when we came down from the tower were much greater and the experience was not the same IMO.
Now, you can;t pick your tower time, so we have 9am entry and tower at 9:15... I am looking forward to those first 15 minutes!

I'd go late afternoon. better colors and less crowded
