We'll be vacationing in Los Alcazares in June, and would appreciate recommendations as to what regional sites to see. I very much want to go to the Alhambra, and need suggestions on how best to get to Granada from Los Alcazares, preferably by train, plane or bus, although a rental car is not out of the question. If we end up adding a couple of extra days in order to go to Granada, is there an airport reasonably close that offers a budget airline that can get us back to London? Thanks!

You will find plenty of budget airlines from Malaga to many airports in Britain. I understand that a new rail service will start operating between Granada and Malaga in January.

The minimum time by public transport to Granada will be about a five hour two bus journey, i.e. Los Alcazares to Murcia and www.alsa.es to Granada.
