Best part of Camino de Santiago

I know that the Camino is a religious pilgrimage, yet I want to walk at least part of it just to say I have. I don't have the time to travel 30 days more like 3 days. I'd love to hear opinions.

Sue, I have two friends in the Bay Area who have walked the Camino.
I can't directly answer your question (and "best part" is pretty subjective anyway) but I can tell you that there is a local group here of Camino alumni and interested folks which gets together for hikes regularly, I think on Mt. Tam.
If you do some creative googling you can probably find this group and get some good information from them.
I'll wish you "happy trails!"

There are Camino routes going all over Spain, so the best thing is to tell us where you are going to be and then try and match up a route with that.
There are lots of Camino forums and Facebook groups. There is also the APOC which has groups all over the US. They get together, go on hikes, have parties and help each other out with tips and travel plans. http://www.americanpilgrims.org/

How far would you like to walk each day? Some people can only walk 10km. others are happy to walk 30km. Do you want to get a pilgrim pass to collect stamps in it? Every store, bar, restaurant, cafe, albergue and church will have a stamp.

Thanks for the tips. Still in the beginning stages of planning.
