Best Option from Granada to Cordoba - Bus or Train?

Hi Everyone!
We only have one night to spend in Cordoba (10/19 - 10/20) and so I'm wondering, what is my best option to get to Cordoba, train or bus? I see a train option early morning for about double the bus price but it doesn't look like a straight shot? Is anyone familiar with this?

Thanks!

I don't know the current train options. They've just completed the high speed link to Granada, so it may have changed.

I was there in 2006. I took the bus, because at that time the bus was a single ride, while the train would have involved changing and taken longer. The bus took about 3 hours and worked very well. Just know that, while in Cordoba the train and bus stations are across the street from each other, in Granada the bus station is quite a bit further from the center than the train station. If you're not taking a taxi, allow time for the local bus to get to the station.

Hi!! Is that direct? It seems like there’s a transfer in between... am I just better off with taking the bus? I also read that the bus station is further out from city center in Granada. Does anyone know how much that Taxi fare maybe from city center and how easy/hard it would be to get a taxi for an early departure (8am or earlier) from bus station?

Thank you!

I see no evidence that a transfer is required on the 7:10 AM AVE. There is a transfer on the slower (MD) 7 AM departure. I have no problem with buses, but I'd certainly take a train that saves me significant time when I was heading to a fascinating place like Cordoba. It's a bonus that the train departs from a more convenient location than the bus does.

Back in 2015, my mom and I took the ALSA bus in reverse (Córdoba to Granada) mainly because at that time one had to transfer from train to bus due to railway construction.

However, now I'd suggest taking the train which is faster than the bus. And... Yes, the AVE train (running at 7:10, 15:00, 15:35, & 19:18, on October 19) is direct from Granada to Córdoba.

Enjoy your trip!
