Barcelona.....:
1. We arrive on Easter weekend and are looking for suggestions on things to do as we expect many restaurants and shops may be closed for the holiday weekend.
2. Any restaurant recommendations for Saturday evening?
3. As this is our first RS Tour, we would welcome any input/advice from RS travelers so we are well prepared! Thanks in advance!
Are you on the tour that starts on the 19th or 21st?
We are on the tour that starts Monday the 21st. 😊
Things to do: Walk the Rambla. Free and outside even on Easter Sunday. Take a food tour in the evening. We went with Devour Tours. Walk the beach in Barceloneta. Take the funicular up to the top of Montjuic. Walk Port Vell.
What is it you are interested in seeing or doing? Helps to do some research on your own. RS sent you their Best of Spain tour book as part of your tour. Anything in it interest you?
Do you like Gaudi architecture? Check to see if Casa Battló or La Pedrera (Casa Milá) are open for tours. Walk the Gothic Quarter on your own or take a walking tour.
Check to see if Parc Guell is open on Easter and get tickets
Lots of places to visit: Palau de la Musica, San Pau. Joan Miró Musuem, Picasso museum
The RS best of Spain tour won't go to any of those places listed above. they will do a tour of the Gothic quarter, go to the front of the Cathedral during the tour and visit Sagrada Familia.
You will have free time to visit the places that interest you. Advance tickets are recommended.
Check to see if Els4 Gats or Los caracoles is open and make a reservation at either place for Saturday evening. Reservations are a must!
Thank you for these great suggestions. Parc Guell is open on Easter Sunday and we will be purchasing tickets. Greatly appreciate your suggestions. We are still reading the Guidebook - I know Rick always shares a lot of good information. Will check your restaurant recommendations too. :-)
