Looking for comments and advice on several questions regarding the Rick Steves Best of Spain 14 Days Tour.
Did you enjoy the tour?
The itinerary says we "may" tour the Alhambra in Granada and "may" tour Alcazar palace in Sevilla "when available." Are these sites "must sees"? How disappointed would you feel if you missed them? How often are they closed?
Our trip ends in Sevilla. We are considering a side trip when to Tangier. Recent comments say Tangier is worth the trip because the town is straightened up. Is it worth an overnight side trip? Two nights? Any recommended hotels or tour operators?
We are also considering one day in Gibralter on the way back to US. We can fly from Gibralter to London Heathrow for connection to US. Worth it?
