On day 11 visit to tour guides favorite town from Arcos de la Frontera, can past travelers say what town that was. Is it always the same one for this tour? Booked for September 2022 and just curious. Thanks much.
When I took this tour in 2019 we went to Jerez that day. We spent some time in the market, had some free time, and sampled sherry before returning to Arcos. The description for that year mentioned Jerez rather than "your guide's favorite Andalusian town" as it does for next year. Maybe they're just giving themselves some flexibility. Jerez is a good destination, with more to it than just sherry. You might ask the RS office if it matters to you enough. Knowing which town it is (Jerez is really a city) would help you plan your free time if you want to. But a year ahead they may not know much.
When I went on a tour including Venice, the itinerary referred to "your guide's favorite island" in the Lagoon. When I asked the office, they told me that would be Burano. But I was calling much closer to the tour date.
If you do make it to Jerez de la Frontera and have free time, its alcázar is nice to walk around for an hour or so. It doesn’t compare with others in Spain, but it’s better than simply wandering around.
Thank you both I figured it probably was Jerez but will call RS closer to tour next year but I will be adding quite a few days after the tour ending in Seville and will going to a few other cities around that proximity and do not want to go back to a place that we already had visited.
We haven't been on this tour, but on other tours it was the guide's choice. We did the Best of Europe twice, and had different "guide's favorite hill town" on each.
