We will be going for 3 nights in September and have seen some but they have mixed reviews. We would prefer not to spend more than $250 a night but also be beachfront but sleep in a room that is quiet.
Are you certain that you want to stay on or near the beach?
It's a bit of a long way to the center city and all of its attractions.
The beach is not glorious in Valencia.
We are starting in Barcelona and want some relaxation time in between stops so this is it between it and Seville then to Madrid. We don’t need to be near city center because we want to be by the water and relax.
Are you using trains or driving? If going by train Valencia is quite out of the way. If I was you I’d consider taking some beach days near Barcelona and then heading straight to Seville rather than using a lot of time travelling to an extra destination for no real benefit.
We are taking trains. What good beaches are there near Barcelona that would be good for out of the city beach experience for a weekend that aren’t completely out of the way?
Sitges is the obvious choice, about 30 mins away. You can then backtrack to Barcelona to take the most direct train route to Seville from there.
I’ve heard Stiges has bad mosquitos in September. Is the beach in Stiges nicer than the beaches right outside Barcelona (like 15 mins away)?
The beach in Castelldefels is quite nice, with good hotels, but there can be aircraft noise.
