We are looking to have an authentic flamenco experience in a bar setting. We are traveling to Seville in mid-October. Any suggestions?
Sorry if I seem to be taking the lazy way out but half way down this page - http://www.exploreseville.com/flamenco.htm
...and spontaneity could break out almost anywhere.
There is a line of bars/cafes near the university that supposedly "can" have music and/or flamenco dancers. We looked but never found any (maybe we had to be there much later?).
We did see a flamenco performance at a smallish place, the music and dancing were good - but it was a performance vs. "authentic". We found it by asking at the bars where we were looking. A guy gave us a flyer and pointed us in the right direction.
If I were going to ask today, I'd ask for a performance that includes more than one dancer - but that may depend largely on the time of year and number of tourists in town.
