Hello,
We really enjoyed Begur Spain for it's lack of resort style housing, architecture, and proximity to great beaches.
We are seeking recommendations for similar towns in the Costa Brave region.
Thank you in advance!

Did you see Palafrugell’s beaches at Calella de Palafrugell, Tamariu and Llafranc?
We did not venture there, but maybe we should?
If you enjoyed Begur- I think you’ll like Palafrugell as well. You can preview the area on YouTube.
Cheers!
We stayed in Timariu two years ago and drove to Begur for dinner each evening. Shirt drive. We took day trips to Figures and Girona. Timariu was a small village on a crescent shaped beach cove. There were lots of other similar options nearby as some other posters have noted like Aiguablava.
Hello! Traveling to Begur for first time. Any outstanding restaurants I should not miss? All prices are interesting- snacks and lunches to dinners. I have rented a car so I am pretty flexible. Also any insight for an American driving there? Thank you!

Driving: not really, other than to expect some county roads to be winding and narrower than those you might be used to, lots of traffic, especially on weekends.
Restaurants: some great ones in Costa Brava are Bo.Tic (Corçà), The Motel (Girona), El Salat at Wecamp Cala Montgó (L'Escala), Nun's House (Cadaqués), Nomo Far de Sant Sebastià (Llafranc), Almadraba Park Hotel Restaurant (Roses), Miramar by Paco Pérez (Llançà) or Mooma (Girona), among others. Google them.
