We are going to Barcelona, Spain in a few weeks. If I buy the BCN4 city card, can I bypass the lines at sites even if it just gives me a discount for those sites (not the ones who are free admission)? For example the Sagrada Familia.

I would imagine you're referring to the later. While the card has indeed a purpose and for certain visitors might be worthwhile, in general it's not as the most popular sites -normally run by private organisations/fundations- are not included in that card or, if they are, the discount is not really that interesting. Do your maths because it might result not so interesting, depending on what your intended visits are. In any case, as far as I know, there's no 'skipping' any line anywhere. Note I mean the lines to get in the sites which, when existing, are not the same than the lines to buy the tickets.
