Barcelona with kids on New Years Eve

Hi,
I am trying to determine if the fireworks in Barcelona on NYE are kid-appropriate. Kids are 6 and 11.
We will be in Barcelona Dec 31- Jan 3.
Thanks.

I fail to understand the question. What do you mean by "kid-appropriate"? Please clarify, as different cultures have different parametres on this issue.

Traditionally, the fireworks display is hosted in Montjuïc Hill, at the Avinguda Maria Cristina boulevard. It gathers over 130.000 people and it's a festive event for all ages. This was last year's NYE fireworks event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVNQ6V_pp7M

It's free of charge, but you've got to get there early if you want a spot up front. It starts at 11 pm and it lasts until 12:30 am or so. It's not only fireworks but also other art forms (ie, Last year, there was a light-n-music drone show).

There are lots of people who go to the beach to celebrate, from where you can see the fireworks from far away. The ambience there can be a bit more 'rowdy' (if I may), yet no debauchery or anything remotely similar.

It's too bad you have to leave on the 3rd... because the evening of the 5th is one of the major events for kids of the year in Barcelona, the "Cavalcada dels Reis Mags" (Three Kings' Cavalcade Parade) in the streets of the city. This was last year's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS_FWtDcREg

And, for those interested, this was the tour: https://www.barcelona.cat/nadal/en/three-kings/three-kings-parade, which remains largely the same every year.
