Barcelona walking info please

We will be in Barcelona in 2 weeks. Staying in Hotel Lleo. We have a 10:30 Familia Sangrada tour….and next… A Parc Guell reservation at 1:00. Likely need some food/lunch in between. We are fam group of 11 trying hard to stay together. We will take taxis when necessary. Just difficult to always need 3. We are all fairly good walkers. What would you suggest as possible walks to and from. And where best to use taxis? Or…Should we just do the hop on/off buses?
We will likely be carrying water in various daybag and crossbody small bags. Assuming we need to check those at entrance of the cathedral? Trying to have a reasonable plan to make this all work.
Thank you!

It is a 30 minute walk from Sagrada to Parc Guell. Can't help with eating places along the way, but you can picnic inside the park. Might be wise for everyone to bring a sandwich of some kind before touring the park. With 11 people you most likely will not have time to eat between the two sites and make your time at Guell.

If you don't have specific plans after Park Guell, the timing of your visit could lend itself to a vital cultural experience—a late, languid lunch. A relaxed three courses with wine, then lingering over coffee. Maybe pack snacks to tide you over and book a table outside the park for 2:30.

Otherwise, I agree that you won't have time for a sit-down lunch between visits. Options would be thinner before 1 anyways.

It looks like you will have a Metro station 1 1/2 blockks away from your hotel. The purple line L2 looks like it will take you directly to La Sagrada Familia. From their I suggest that you take the taxi to the Park and save time and avoid anxiety. We took the bus to get to the park. It is an uphill climb from the Metro (not so close by). You have until 1:30 to get into the park according to their website.

I do not believe that you will have enough time for lunch in between La Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell especially if you walk. Can you hold off for lunch until after visiting PG? If so, there is a simply wonderful Mediterranean restaurant just a few blocks from PG, Terra Mia. We ate there before going to PG but had to rush to make it for our reserved time. The food was divine! It was so nice to get away from all the fried food and tapas that are ubiquitous in Barcelona. Try to sit outside if you can.
Their website says they're open from 9 am-12 am. https://www.terramiabarcelona.com/es/

The hop on/hop off bus would be a bad choice for transportation. You could spend lots of time waiting for the next bus. Use regular public transit if you can, or taxis if necessary. How long will you be in the city overall?

Thanks so for your help! We only have one full day…2 nights there before cruise. So this is our day to visit sites. We know our first day is jet lagged. I had figured the hop on/off buses not dependable for timed sightseeing. I like the idea of taking some lunch into Parc Gruell. Maybe since it’s up hill from Familia Sangrada we should take cabs…as the park is also more walking. Kids will quickly start fading! Just trying to be strategic in what they can tolerate.

Since you will only be there 2 nights I think that you will be better off taking taxis to your destinations. Not the cheapest mode of transportation but the quickest. Whatever money you save with buses or metro will only cut down the time you have to sightsee.

Just a bit of friendly language advice, it's called la Sagrada Familia (which means the Holy Family) NOT Familia Sangrada (which means the Bloody Family), you will definitely get a few raised eyebrows from locals referring to it as the latter.
