Hi!
In early April I'm travelling to Barcelona from Atlanta. Staying in Barcelona for 3 full days, then travelling to Seville and spending 2 full days there. After that I need advice.
Should I travel from Seville to Madrid and fly home from Madrid?
Or should I travel from Seville to Granada and then fly home from Malaga?
I have about 10 to 11 days total and don't want to overcomplicate the trip.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. I think it would be interesting to see Madrid or Granada as this is my first trip to Spain.
I think two full days is short for Seville, so I'd be inclined to add a day there. Three days is potentially short in Barcelona, but perhaps you don't plan to go all-in on the modernista sites.
Although I find Granada more interesting for just walking around than Madrid, Madrid has a lot more indoor sights. You might need less time in Granada than in Madrid, so Barcelona-Seville-Granada-Malaga Airport might be more practical than Barcelona-Seville-Madrid. It really depends on your sightseeing interests.
The last time I checked, which was years ago, it would have been a lot more costly (+ $500 or so) for me to fly into Malaga than into Madrid. Check your flight situation before falling in love with the idea of returning home from Malaga.
