I'm heading to Sevilla after Barcelona and I have not figured out yet how to go there? any thoughts?
Also, if you have a total of 5 days to do Andalucia (main attractions), is it a good idea to rent a car ? or I can connect Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada using public transportation (train)?
Thank you community
You can compare the time and cost of flying versus taking high speed train to Madrid and then Cordoba (or Sevilla).
Where are you flying out?
Five days is pretty tight, so it would definitely depend on where I was flying home from whether I squeezed in Andalucia.
Thank you both. I'm flying back to San Francisco out of Barcelone on the 24th. I just cancelled my 3-nights stay in Sevilla to start the way down south from Madrid first. I have from the 6th till the 23rd to do Madrid, Seville, Cordoba, granada and six days on southern beach for vitamin D :)
Sounds like you have 11 nights, plus 6 for the beach. Hopefully you are seeing Barcelona before the 6th (or that you have already been). I am not a big city person so I might do 3 nights Madrid, 1 night Cordoba, 4 nights Seville, 3 nights Granada, 6 nights beach, and the 23rd back in Barcelona before your flight on the 24th. (Actually I would probably do 2 nights Madrid - or Segovia or Toledo - and 4 nights Granada, but that is just me.) All of those connections are easy by train or bus (not knowing your final stop).
Yes, I'm currently in Barcelona, I love it, I have been here since August 1st. I'm leaving to Madrid on the 6th. Thank you
We are taking the AVE from Seville to Barcelona at the end of our trip (direct/booked through Trainline). Booked Preferente. Neither the train nor flight can get us back in time to take that day's flight back to the US, so we decided to "travel Spain" instead of "fly over Spain" to enjoy the last hours in the country. We will stay at a hotel near the Barcelona airport that night and shuttle to the early AM flight from the airport to home. One last few hours seeing the countryside was our choice. Enjoy your travels.
Thank you. I'm on my second day in Seville, I went to Alcasar this morning great legacy of the Almohads, went to the plaza de toros, the bridge and the neighborhood. I still have this afternoon and tomorrow, then I head to Cordoba. Any tips ?
Thank you
Las Setas at night.
I will check it out, thank you again :)
Plaza de Espana and Parque de Maria Luisa. Seville Cathedral and a trip up the tower (La Giralda). Rick Steves walking tour of Barrio de Santa Cruz.
Thank you Lakertone, we shall do :)
Heading to Cordoba tomorrow, I think at the mosque there will be a morning mess, hence the place will be closed for a couple hours? do you know more about the mosque visit on sundays? thank you
