In mid April, I'm flying Iberia Airlines from Barcelona to Madrid, arriving at 8AM on Thursday (Iberia is listed as terminals T4/S4.) I have an Air France flight at 10 AM (T2). I will have carry on baggage only. Am I likely to be able to get from T/S4 to T2 in time to make my flight ?
Are you trying to self connect to get from Madrid to Paris? Why not catch a direct flight?
I have an Air France flight at 10 AM
Destination?
A little more detail. Booked our roundtrip tickets in Oct from the states in/out of Madrid. The first leg of the return flight to US is through Paris. Since then, I've been planning our three weeks in Spain with our last 4 days being in Barcelona, and therefore considering the 7AM - 8AM Iberia flight from Barcelona to Madrid on the morning we head back. The 10 AM Air France flight will leave from terminal is T2.
If this is crazy, we'll need to spend the last night near the Madrid airport... so trying to do my homework.
Thanks for any advice....
Dawn
I would spend my time in Madrid at the end of your trip. Flights can get canceled or arrive late causing you to miss your flight to Paris. That would be too much stress for me.
For a 10 AM departure from Madrid, I would NOT spend the night before in Barcelona.
Would you really stay in San Francisco and take a morning flight to LA to catch a 10AM flight from LA to Europe? That is essentially what you are contemplating.
Thanks for the details, it could work but would be far too risky for me. T2 and T4 are over 3 km apart as the crow flies so you need some time just to change terminal.
I would take the train to Madrid the day before and spend the last night in Madrid.
