Barcelona to Florence - Airline??

We will be traveling from Barcelona to Florence. I've never flown from one country to another in Europe. I have read mixed reviews of Ryan Air and wondering if that is the best airline to fly or if there is another I should look into?

When are you traveling?

On the ryanair site I cannot get a Barcelona to Florence flight. Where did you find a ryanair flight for that routing?

On skyscanner the only direct flights are on Vueling.

Alitalia, Air France and Iberia have flights that stop somewhere.

Ive flown on EasyJet, RyanAir, Iberia, and Vueling, and there wasn't a marked difference. Check luggage rules though. If I recall, RyanAir was more uptight, and this is why some people complain more about them

Skyscanner shows non-stop flights by Veuling and Iberia. These Italian carriers are owned by the same holding company. Looking at the fine print, all the non-stops are pooled and operated by Veuling. So buy from their website

Like other budget carriers, and also short hops by the traditional airlines now, plenty of extra fees can be imposed for such things as luggage. Seating will be snug. You can look at the individual airlines to see about refreshments.
But you will be up in the air for less than two hours so think of it as more like riding a very fast bus.

Prices vary considerably depending on the season. The earlier you buy, the cheaper the fare. Be sure to thoroughly read the website before purchase.

Best airline are ones offering a direct flight on a short route like that.
All of those you will find have bad reviews that don't mean a thing.
