Air seems to be the best way to go? Anyone have more... alluring options? We had originally planned to do a cruise from Barcelona to Venice but cancelled it - hence the weird route. :)
Thanks!

I would fly. How much time do you have?
Yeah, that's really the best question haha. We go straight from Barcelona one morning and are currently supposed to arrive in Florence later that day. We could shave 1 day off our AirBnB but flying seems the best idea. I guess one reason I ask this question is I've read the Barcelona airport has LONG lines. Perhaps this is just for international flights and and not within Europe?
Rome2rio.com identifies various options, some of them, perhaps, ...alluring. Like the ferry to Genoa followed by train, or the 13.5 hour train ride with two changes. But flying (,2 hours airport to airport) is clearly the fastest, even if you have to stand in a long line.
