Please suggest route /connections for two spry, male retirees, who want to taste sparkling wines of Spain at Cava & Freixent at the source. Then to Castillo de Caena in Jaen to taste olive oil & visit a farm that brines olives. From Jaen to Sevilla without renting a car.
Train, bus, ride share or other ways. All suggestions welcome.
That's not going to be easy and I don't know how you'd do the northern "Spanish champagne" part.
There is an overnight Alsa coach from Barcelona to Ubeda which puts you in "olive oil central" with various olive sights in easy reach including a museum. I don't know if there are tours from Ubeda to Canena specifically, but they are very close so there is a regular a public bus - again, Alsa is worth checking. From Ubeda to Sevilla is fairly straightforward, but not quick. For example coach to Cordoba and then train on to Sevilla.
It might be easier to fly from Catalonia to Granada airport and then take a coach up to Jaen province either Jaen city or Ubeda.
From Barcelona you can day trip to do tours of both Freixent and also Cordorniu.
