We are planning a trip to Barcelona in September or October. We want to stay in Barcelona for about 5 days, then rent a car and drive to Carcassonne, France. After Carcassonne, we will be traveling westward in France, perhaps as far as Bordeaux. We will then return to Barcelona for departure. Any suggestions about the route from Spain to and from Carcassonne? We would like to choose different routes going and returning. Also, what month would be better (weather, tourists, etc.)?
