barcelona to cadaques

Where do I get a bus in Barcelona to Cacques to see the Dali Home Museum? I'm having trouble finding the correct way to book the bus in Barcelona roundtrip to Cacques. Thanks.

Here's the description from p. 170 of Rick's Spain book. Note the correct town spelling and also that tickets may or may not be sold on the web site listed.

Reaching Cadaqués is very tough without a car. There are no trains and only a few buses a day. By Bus: Sarfa buses serve Cadaqués from Figueres (3/day, 1 hour) and from Barcelona (2-3/day, 3 hours). You can buy bus tickets to Cadaqués at Barcelona TIs on Plaça de Catalunya, Plaça Sant Jaume, and at the Columbus Monument. Bus info: Barcelona toll tel. 902-302-025, Cadaqués tel. 972-258-713, Figueres tel. 972-674-298, www.sarfa.com.

What you need to reserve in advance is the house itself.

As Laura mentioned, the easiest way is to take the train (frequent departures) to Figueres, then Bus to Cadaques (not so frequent). We did the Dali Museum in Figueres while waiting for the bus, then spent two nights in Cadaques, mainly since it was our first stop before a week in Barcelona, to recover from jet lag.

Man, it must be Dali's night!... just responded another post with the same info :))))... check out: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/spain/day-trip-to-figueras-dali-museum-and-cadaques-dali-home-from-barcelona-in-june

Btw, there's no train service in that part of Catalonia (north east) because the train line that covers most of the coastal length of Catalonia, from the Ebre river in the south (and beyond) -the southern most tip of Catalonia- reaches only as far north as Blanes in the border of the Maresme and Selva counties, then it turns inland and continues thru Girona and Figueres towards France. The reason lays in the name of the zone: Costa Brava -Catalan for "Rough Coast"... got it now, huh?, LOL!
