BArcelona Sagrad Familia tour Recomendation?

Hi Folks,
We are in Barcelona for a week between cruises in April, and I was wondering if the group had any recommendations or preference for touring the Sagrada.
Should I do the Sagrada.org tour or one of the other local tour guide options

Thanks for your input

We didn’t go there on a tour, rather went independently which is our usual preference. We could spend as much time in the areas that interested us. You need to bring a good guide book along to tour La Sagrada Familia independently.
A whole week in Barcelona will be wonderful. Enjoy!

Last year when purchasing tickets on its official web site I also included their tour. It was a seemingly thorough introduction. I was quite happy with it. Your time there is not limited to just the tour experience. If you delight in history, architecture, or other in-depth details you may want to seek an offsite tour guide or another source.

I did the tour when they first opened in the morning. There were no crowds there yet and I got fabulous photos while learning about some of the things there that you wouldn't notice just walking around on your own. Afterwards, I stayed for another 3-4 hours listening to the audio guide, going through the museum, walking around the outside, taking more photos. I was very glad that I went on the tour.

I booked a guided tour through the official website https://sagradafamilia.org/en/. You will have plenty of time to walk around either before or after the tour. I had gone on my own a few years before with just the RS guidebook but I really feel like I got alot more out of the experience with an actual guide.

My wife and I did the official tour in July 2023, including the optional ascent of one of the towers, in our case the Passion Tower, as the Nativity Tower was sold out. There is a small elevator for the ascent; the walk down is via a narrow spiral stair. It's also worth reading up on the convoluted history of the church. I recommend also seeing the on-site museum.
