Hi, we are arriving via train in early June. We would like to plan dinner our first night in the beach area. Any recommendations for good food and relaxing atmosphere?

The beach area is in the Barceloneta area.
We had dinner at Xup Xup which is right on the beach.

A little further along from Barceloneta are Bogatell and Mar Bella beaches. There's quite a few little bars / restaurants right on the beach there. I don't have specific recommendations, but plug those places into a Google search and I'm sure you'll see lots of reviews.
