In Barcelona for 2 days, any recommendations for restaurants? Staying at the hotel continental Barcelona.
On December 28, 2022, we ate OUTSIDE on the terrace of Terra Mia near Park Guell. The weather was sunny and warm. The food was fantastic and plentiful especially after having eaten at so many tapas restaurants in central Barcelona. Terra Mia is in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle. We walked to this restaurant (a very long walk) from the apartment that we had rented directly across from Sagrada Familia. We were on our way to Park Guell. If we return to Barcelona, we'll definitely make reservations at Terra Mia. Enjoy!
We had a great fine dining (but casual dress) experience at a placed named "Besta" (May, 2024). I cannot recommend the other places we ate during that visit.
Do you need to eat near your hotel?
I can give you some ideas, but I'd need to know what you are looking for....tapas, sit down dining, Catalan food, any Spanish food, price range, if location is important, where (???)..please give location of hotel, not just the name since I have no idea where your hotel is located. Asking where to eat in Barcelona is like asking where to eat in New York City without offering any other details about what you are doing for in a restaurant.
If you decide on a restaurant, or restaurants, you ought to book ahead of time, which often can be done online and in English.
If you are into the historical aspects of restaurants, we ate (and recommend):
el 4 gats
and
Las Caracolas

You should google the history of each restaurant to see if these places interest you.
The food at each place was excellent as was the service.
