Barcelona Renting a car

Hello, I had a previous post about wishing to take a side trip to visit the Dali museums in Figueres and Cadaques. The advice was that it is much easier by car (I need to get an international license from AAA) and that it is best to spend the night. Does anyone have experience renting a vehicle from Barcelona? What companies should I research? Our plan is to do Figueres first then drive to Cadaques and stay there for the night. Then do that museum and enjoy the area before riding back to Barcelona. Thanks for any advice

P.s. any accommodation suggestions in Cadaques?

It's not a big deal.

Use Kayak and take the best deal. It's going to show you a bunch of consolidators. I don't like any of them very much, but I would avoid Holiday Autos at all costs if they creep in. If it's looking pretty even when you're staring at the mystery meat, and Europcar is close, go with them.

Figure for two days and a small, cheap, non-automatic its going to stiff you about a hundred-fifty bucks.

I used AutoEurope and got my car at the airport. Pretty much the same experience as you'll get in the US. The rental cars are at the terminals, which is nice and convenient (no shuttles).
