My husband and I will be in Barcelona at the end of a cruise next September and plan to stay for 3 nights with 2 other couples. I'm not familiar with the area and will be looking for a flat where we can stay together. I usually have good luck with VRBO and plan to look there first as well as AirBNB. Any advice on an area to look for lodging? Something centrally located, safe and near public transportation. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Just to give you another possibility, we very much enjoyed the neiborhood of El born. Closer to the sea, a bit more older history. We loved.

Aparthotel Napols is in the Eixample. We have stayed in a one bedroom and in a two bedroom there.
