our family of 4 have an oppurtunity to go to barcelona for a week. We will have 6 days In Barcelona. Please let me know if this itinerary sounds feasible

2 day trip,
Montserrat, would love to hike to the top. Is this a possibility? read that the train and the funicular dont go to the top?
Girona or other places suggested.

We were in Barcelona a couple of months ago. We took a day trip to Tarragona which was unexpectedly beautiful. There are nice Roman ruins and a lovely walk along the old town walls. The train trip to and from Barcelona was also really nice as it hugs the coastline.
I'm a big fan of Girona--two historic churches, good small art museum (though not as good as the MNAC in Barcelona), a walkable wall and the Museum of Jewish History. There's enough there to justify spending a night (or two if you want to walk every street in the historic center as I did), but most people treat it as a day trip.
I haven't been to Montserrat so I can't help you there.
