Barcelona Hotels with Breakfast

We usually enjoy hotels that have breakfast included with the room. I have noticed that the hotels I have looked at in Barcelona have breakfast included for 11-23 euros. This seems pricey to me. Opinions on price and other alternatives (husband likes 3-5 cups of coffee per morning so all inclusive has been best in the past.)

We stayed at the Hotel Europark and liked it very much. If you book directly with them and catch the banner that says "NNWEB offer Book Now" that scrolls on the booking page, breakfast is included. Pricing depends on when you travel but their rooms start at 88 Euros in Feb - breakfast included. Here's a link to the booking page where the NNWEB scrolls across: https://reservations.hoteleuropark.com/6869?datein=2%2F20%2F2019&Length=1&rooms=1&adults=2&languageid=1#/accommodation/room.

Their breakfast was excellent. It was a nice breakfast room, not too crowded.

Look up hotels on www.hrs.com or on booking.com and see which ones offer breakfast at the price you want to pay per night. Then contact the hotel yourself if they have a website. (some hotels do not have their own website and only have listings on hotel booking sites.)

I strongly agree with Ms. Jo about contacting the hotel directly. In fact, I stayed at BCN Fashion House in Barcelona and by working with them directly, our well priced room included a breakfast. I often use tripadvisor, booking.com, etc., to narrow my search. Then when possible I contact the hotels directly. If the hotel came from a RS guide I say so. I really do believe that direct communication with hotels gets me better rooms and rates and also gives me a feel for the property and whether I want to even stay with them.

And i'll add, YES, that's sounds very pricey. I wouldn't pay even 11 euros unless its really special. You could pick up a cup a coffee and some bakery, or got to the bouqueria. When we were there, my daughters loved the bouqueria and we were getting large cups of fruit for 1 euro! If you find a hotel that has even just a hot water kettle, you could buy those coffee packets at home. Starbucks has something called Via. Barcelona is more expensive than other Spanish cities I've visited, even Madrid, but I did find the grocery markets to have good prices.

... plenty of coffee shops and bars around, where you can have a coffee, tea, orange juice, pastries, sandwiches.... Just walk out of the hotel -regardless where you're staying- and you'll stumble at least a dozen places within a 2' walk. A light breakfast -as mentioned above- should cost you 3-5€.

Btw, I am not sure you "understand" coffee :)))) This part of the world serves proper coffee -not that runny watery beverage you call coffee in "some" other countries, LOL! Saying so because your husband taking "3 to 5 cups" in the morning should yield him a visit to one of our ERs soon enough. For info: http://www.barcelonaconnect.com/ordering-coffee-barcelona/

I stayed at Hotel Denit last fall. If you book online directly on their website, breakfast is included. Different kinds of breads, fruit, eggs, deli meats, cereal, juices, coffee machine that makes all types of coffee. Stone's throw away from Placa Catalunya, on a narrow side street.
