Barcelona hotels - recommendations Hotel Denit or El Jardi?

Traveling with my 2 college aged kids so need a triple room. There is a big difference in price but El Jardi seems more centrally located. Traveling in August.

Thank you for the suggestion. The location looks lovely. I checked and unfortunately they do not have rooms available for our trip.

Note that you might encounter difficulties looking for a triple room because it's not a "typical format" in our hotels. Most of them have double rooms, which can be used by "up to two people". Some might still have -albeit this is a practice being dropped- "single rooms", as in a small room with a small bed, but most other hotels will offer a double room for single use to solo customers. When someone asks for a triple room, that's normally because you're traveling with a child, so his/her bed tends to be a small folding bed.

This is not to say there are no triple rooms (for three adults) in any hotel, it's just that it's very rare. So, at the end of the day, thinking about comfort, you might end up needing to book "two rooms" instead.

In any case, do clarify this when booking and ask for the "size of the room" to be able to assess whether you're going to be "canned" or not :)))

You're traveling in August... prices are expensive everywhere. Not that this is high season -we have no more high or low seasons, tourists and visitors "flock" all year round- but June to October are especially busy.

As per location... don't "fret" too much about about it... we have an excellent public transportation system (metro, bus, train, tramway) that you're likely to be using anyway as "what tourists come to see" it's not located in one place (or one district) -- this ain't a theme park :)) -- but across the city, so you're going to move about. Sometimes it's more clever to look for a hotel a tad away from the Ciutat Vella (Old City) as you'll notice regarding prices and also crowds (and noise).

Besides, you're talking about two hotels that are 8 minutes away from each other (walking!)

Honestly, they are so close to each other, I would just pick the least expensive. My college aged kids were more excited about experiences than they were the hotel room. If you are talking about this August, I would just get a room booked. Use the extra money for a more special meal or treat of some sort.
