We are staying one night in Barcelona on December 5th prior to boarding our cruise ship. Any suggestions for a nice hotel close to Plaza Del Cataluna that includes breakfast?
I stayed at Hotel Continental Barcelona for about three or four nights pre-cruise.
Right around the corner from Plaza Del Cataluna. Includes breakfast as well as snacks 24 hours.
Would recommend and stay again.
I've stayed at H10 Racó del Pi twice. It's a 7 minute walk to Plaça de Catalunya. The hotel is on a quiet street in the Barri Gòtic. The breakfast is good.
We stayed at the Hotel Granvia while on Rick Steve's tour. Breakfast was fresh, generous and delicious. Short walk to Plaza del Cataluna. Our room was immaculate and comfy. Friendly and helpful staff.
We stayed at Hotel Gran Via about 15 years ago, and we enjoyed our stay there. It is very conveniently located. Highly recommend.
I'm so surprised that RS uses that hotel. I think I wrote this on another thread somewhere, but that was one of the first hotels I stayed at in Europe, when I was just out of high school!
And then I went back there around 2001!
It's been renovated and is now part of a chain, Ii think NH, so the rooms are surely much nicer than the ones we had--dark and tiny!!! But I'd bet that glorious breakfast room is till there, and that they serve better things for breakfast than Vienna sausages!
Most hotels will offer breakfast but it's built into the price of the room, or added as an extra.
To get better answers,, you might want to offer some idea of the price range, in euro.
I'm looking for a hotel right now--many are fully booked for my dates in March, so even if you are going in December, I'd get busy with the selection and the bookiing.
We loved our stay at Praktik Rambla. Location is excellent— a stone’s throw from Placa de Catalunya. Breakfast is simply coffee and croissant.
