Barcelona Hotel Recommendation?

I’m looking for a Barcelona hotel recommendation. I need something that will work well for my family prior to a cruise in June. We'll have six total - two adults and two kids (ages 6 and 8) in one room and 2 adults in the other. I’m traveling with my parents, both of whom are older and have health problems, so an elevator is a must have. Handicap friendly is a plus, but not a requirement. I’d also like to be close to public transportation and near some food options. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. I’ve done some research and have some ideas, but would prefer to use a recommendation. Thanks.

We stayed near Plaza Catalunya, near the end of Las Ramblas, and I recommend it for its convenience and closeness to transit and the hop on/hop off bus. We stayed in both Hotel Reding and Hotel Inglaterra. The location of Reding was a touch more tucked away, the room was taller and bigger, but the walls were thinner than Inglaterra. Both were great, though.. and both had elevators. Have fun!

My mother and I stayed at Hotel Atlantis after our cruise. Elevator, good breakfast, good size room. Close to metro, Las Ramblas etc. I was very happy with the choice

We like Hotel Astoria in Barcelona. Not expensive, 3-star, centrally located. Has a small pool. We've also stayed at Hotel Viladomat. Close to Sants train station, about 10 min walk to Plaza Catalunya.
