Barcelona hotel

We’d like to arrive a couple days before our tour and are looking for some reasonably priced hotels in a good walking location. I’ve never been to Barcelona so whatever recommendations that you have would be appreciated!!!

hey hey prjm03
what are your dates, how many people, what is "reasonable" mean to you, amenities needed (any mobility issues with climbing stairs/steps) read cancellation policies. check in to hotels/apts are usually 3-4pm and check out is 10-11am, if you are early ask hotel if they will hold your luggage till check in. prices of many things have skyrocketed all over, not only europe but many other countries.
look at booking.com, dates and check filters you prefer and see what suits your fancy.
barcelona is very busy all year long, like other places with millions of travelers from everyone. be prepared for long lines, places packed even streets, restaurants (make reservations ahead of time or go further out away the the "tourists traps".
activities or attractions you want to see go the website and reseved, many places are time stamped and know the hours different between europe and USA (if that where you're flying in from.
lots to think about and be prepared for, research does wonders. have a happy trip and enjoy
aloha

Rick’s book recommends BacHome Gallery B&B. It’s a great accommodation with 7 guest rooms in a classic building just a few blocks from Gaudi’s La Pedrera and Casa Battlo on the Passeig de Gracia. BacHomeGallery B&B has an elevator, AC and a breakfast room with complimentary coffee and snacks. The nearby Train/Metro station at Passeig de Gracia lets you catch some trains here rather than at the Barcelona Sants station.

We stayed at the el Jardi hotel by the Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi & the Placa del Pi. Pretty straightforward and nothing fancy, but we loved the location.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gran Via in the Eixample neighborhood. It's a very safe area with beautiful buildings and very convenient to many sights. We walked just about everywhere.

We stayed at Hotel Well and Come in the Eixample neighborhood this past April. We thought it was reasonably priced for
Barcelona and within walking distance of some of the sites. Not all the sites in Barcelona are close together and so we took taxis to some of them and walked to others. We took taxis because we didn't want to take the subway and increase our chances of getting pickpocketed. We also avoided Las Ramblas for that same reason.
