Barcelona Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau to Park Guell

During our upcoming first trip to Barcelona, we have a 9:00 entrance to Sagrada Familia and a 14:30 entrance to Park Guell.

If time allows in between the two, we are considering walking to Sant Pau. Is this too much for one day?

  • Also, how would we get from one location to the other?
  • I assume if we go directly from SF to Park Guell, we would take a taxi to save time (about 15mins)?
  • But if we decide to go to Sant Pau, should we walk to Sant Pau and then taxi to Park Guell? Where would we catch the taxi at Sant Pau? It appears it is approximately 1.5 miles to Park Guell.
  • We will then need to take a taxi back to our lodging, which is near intersection of Mallorca/Girona.

Thank you!

Very, very recently (within the last week or rwo) one of our posters reported here that new bus service to Parc Guell is being introduced. I believe it is to be included with the admission ticket. If you scroll back through the Spain forum and look at the threads whose titles sound promising, you should be able to find that information. Feel free to try the Search function, but it never works well for me.

After your visit to la Sagrada Familia, if time allows, I would just walk directly to Hospital de Sant Pau which takes 10-15 mins. A visit to Sant Pau took me between 1-2 hrs when it first reopened, they may have added some more exhibits since I was last there 3 years ago.

From Sant Pau, I would just take a taxi directly to the entrance of Parc Güell, taxis are very reasonably priced. I'm not sure about recently developments, but the bus stop is a distance from the actual entrance of Parc Güell.
