Barcelona: El Raval Resturant, safety

We have restaurant reservations at a place in the El Raval area of Barcelona, this particular place is a five minute walk from the Sant Antoni metro stop. We are staying north of this area, I assume it's considered the Eixample neighborhood which appears to be about a fifteen minute walk away from the restaurant

I've done some research on Barcelona recently and learned that the El Raval area is not considered safe. Wondering if I should cancel the reservation due to this. The restaurant looks great and has a lot of great reviews, also they are open on Christmas eve.

If it's a restaurant you especially want to try I wouldn't cancel the reservation. You can take a taxi direct to the restaurant from your hotel; and then ask the restaurant to call for a taxi (for return) as you're settling up the tab. I've done this in a couple (US) cities where the neighborhoods weren't the best to be in after dark, but that's where the establishment happened to be located. Most recently in New Orleans to go to Dooky Chase's https://www.dookychaserestaurants.com, a legendary place in a sketchy zip code.
